Stirling for disabled people

In spite of steep streets and old buildings, Stirling is an increasingly accessible city.

Historic Scotland will arrange a courtesy bus to transport disabled visitors to the Castle. A virtual tour covers those parts of the Castle that are not accessible by wheelchair users.

Call VisitScotland on +44(0)845 22 55 121 for a free copy of Accessible Scotland which lists disabled-friendly accommodation and visitor attractions.

Rail and bus station have disabled access.

The Thistles Shopping Centre has a manual and assisted wheelchair service located on the lower floor next to the bus station.
